- 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Once browned, remove the sausage from the skillet, reserving the fat.
